Anyone else remember their first time walking by the MAC counter?
I remember seeing all the sleek black packaging with product everywhere. I was really excited because I loved makeup even back then but I was also slightly overwhelmed. With so many products to choose from in so many shades and formulas to choose from, a makeup counter can be intimidating if you are a makeup novice or are simply unsure of a brand. And because there are so many products and shades to choose from, you can end up spending all of your time trying to figure out what to get and then spending all of your money getting it. So with that in mind, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite MAC items and also one item that I am currently testing.
MAC Eye Shadow in Soft Brown, MAC Extra Dimension Eye Shadow in Smoky Mauve, MAC Eye Shadow in Texture
Soft Brown and Texture are two eyeshadows that I am always hitting pan on both in my personal stash and in my makeup kit. These two warm browns are great to use as crease/transition colors and I also like to wear them on the lid when I’m going for a basic look. I love how versatile these shades are and the fact that they work on so many complexions and the formula of both blend so easily. Now with the Extra Dimension Shadow, this is my first time purchasing Smoky Mauve but I love the other shades that I have in this formula and they are a dream to work with because you can use them both wet and dry and again they blend so well and are great for adding an extra pop when I need it.
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NW40, MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NW40
Both of these concealers are kit staples and are must haves in my personal stash as well. I love the texture of both formulas. They blend really well and the shade range is phenomenal.
MAC Zoom Fast Black Lash Mascara and Pro Longwear Waterproof Brow Set
The mascara is black, doesn’t flake and gives me the length that I crave when I can’t be bothered with fake lashes. The Brow set is the one “new to me” item but I always like having a brow gel on hand to lighten up a brow or just to set brow in place so I’m excited to add this one to my collection.
