There is something that happens when you throw away thousands of dollars in old makeup. You wake up, and you start opening every single product and slapping the good ones on your face and weeping over the ridiculous amount of hoarding that you have done. Okay well, maybe that’s just me.
I’m trying to get in the mindset of enjoying the things that I already have and not coveting the newest latest most hyped products that look exactly like something that I already have. With that comes a purge. I’ve been chucking old makeup that I held onto merely because of pretty packaging or nostalgia.
With the clearing out of some old products, it’s given me a chance to play around with some forgotten favorites. Even though all today’s agenda entailed was working from home and running the kids around town, it felt great to play in makeup again and enjoy the process and the products!

I’m not going to lie, while I had fun with this look and I felt hecka cute today, I realized how out of practice I am when it comes to doing anything outside of my usual routine. It took me entirely to long to do my eyes, and by the end, I was like forget it, it is what it is. But I am excited to continue to use my products and try more looks and get more practice.
So have you guys purged any products lately? Any product rediscoveries in your stash?
