2016 is the clean up year when it comes to my skin. I’m going to clean up this dull looking skin, I’m going to clear up these acne scars and this hyperpigmentation and I’m going to erase these wrinkles. Yes, I’m speaking clear, radiant, wrinkle free skin into existence and you should too. While on my quest, I will test skincare products that claim to help with these issues and see how they work on my skin. First up on my trial list this year is my Instant Glow Mask from Herbivore.
Brighten Pineapple Enzyme + Gemstone Instant Glow Mask
Price: $48 USD
Final Thoughts: I’ve used this product for a couple of weeks and it has delivered on its claims. My skin does appear more radiant, it is definitely softer and there is a slightly brightened appearance. My hyperpigmentation hasn’t had a significant change in color but my acne scars are lightening.
When applying this mask, it did have a very strong tingling/stinging sensation that made it slightly uncomfortable at first, however, it wasn’t unbearable and the feeling dissipated within 30 seconds. The texture is perfect in that it’s not too watery/runny but it isn’t super thick either. It glides on really easily and I didn’t need much product to cover my face. I left my mask on for 15 – 20 minutes each time and when I removed the mask, I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth my skin felt. I seriously could not stop touching it. My remaining texture issues on my forehead are almost completely gone (I have one tiny bump left but it’s getting smaller and smaller with each use). Although it hasn’t been an instant remedy product, it has worked a lot better than the glycolic peels that I’ve tried and with continued use, I can only hope that it will get even better.
I love the packaging, the product works and I’m so happy with my results that I’ve already added a few more items from them to my online shopping cart and wishlist. My husband even complimented my skin, which was completely random and unexpected because it was a really specific compliment on how my skin was clearing up and looking nice so you know this one is definitely going on my repurchase list.
Oh and side note, this product is natural, there is no animal testing and it’s made in the USA!
