It’s easy to get caught up in the hype and celebrate getting your hands on coveted products. Good thing this launch had great products and the stock to support the hype. I was able to resist for awhile, but I finally caved and grabbed the Match Stix Trio along with a few other products. The cool thing about the trio is that you get three complementary products and the packaging is magnetized so that you can keep your products together. That in itself makes this a great travel item for me.
Now cream foundations are a favorite of mine, but when it comes to cream contours and highlights, I cringe a little. Not because they don’t work but simply because I prefer powders. These three might have changed my mind a little bit though. These are relatively easy to blend when compared to most other cream contours that I have used, the colors are pigmented, and the sticks are easy to use.
The creams are not too soft and not too hard, but they do take some getting used to. The thing with these is that they dry down quickly, so I apply, blend, use some more, blend some more and so on instead of placing the product all over my face and blending at the end.

The Highlight shade of this trio is my favorite part. It’s not too shimmery/glittery. It’s smooth and easy to blend, and the color is gorgeous. The highlight is cool but only works for someone going for a natural look. Me and my dark under eye circles definitely need additional coverage. The Contour color isn’t an actual contour shade for me, but I work it like I do my bronzers and just use it to add some definition to my face. It blends in really well so I don’t look overly contoured or too highlighted so this is perfect for those minimal makeup days.
The great thing about buying these stix in a trio is that you get them at a cheaper price than if you would buy these individually. The bad thing is that Sephora only has 4 pre-made trios available now but if you go directly to the Fenty Beauty website, you can customize your trio and still keep the savings!
