Trying to Save my Manicures with Butter London

Butter London Scrubbers and Patent-Gel Top & Tails

My plan for self-care has been pretty much thrown out of the window lately!  Since my children are currently out of school I now need to forgo some of my trips to the nail salon and get into that painting my own nails life.  I mean who has time for trips to the salon when you are busy running kids to and from events, activities and water parks?  The good news is that since I’m pretty plain when it comes to my nails I can stick to neutral colors and Butter London has some of my favorite shades.  On a recent trip to Ulta, I spotted some additional products from the brand that I hoped would make mani-at-home easy for me to achieve.

Butter London Scrubbers and Patent Gel Top & Tails

Butter London

Scrubbers 2 in 1 Prep & Remover Wipes (10 Individually packaged wipes)

Price: $10

Available at Ulta (affiliate link)

Final Thoughts:  These 2 in 1 Remover wipe packs would be great if they actually worked.  A single pack is supposed to clean 10 nails and unfortunately, it only cleans about half of that.  I was so hoping that these would work well because they would have been great for travel and for those quick fixes but they just aren’t.  For the price and me needing to use two packs to remove my nail polish adequately, I’ll just have chipped nails until I can get to my normal remover.  These won’t make the rebuy list.

Butter London

Patent-Gel Top & Tails™ (Base and Top Coat)

Price: $40

Available at Ulta (affiliate link)

Final Thoughts:  I like it!  My nail polish definitely lasts longer than my regular polish (and almost as long as my gel manicures).  The shine is there, my nails dry quickly and with a little practice, my nails may start to look like I just came from the nail salon.  This will definitely be on my repurchase list because I can easily switch nail colors and my manicure stays intact for at least 4 days.  The price is a bit high but I love the bottle packaging and it’s still less than the price that I would pay for a couple visits to the salon.
