While cleaning out my makeup these last few months, I decided to continue to get rid of old makeup and luckily with MAC Cosmetics, you can trade in 6 old containers and pick a lipstick (or even an eyeshadow if you go to a MAC store).
Since I’ve owned a lot of limited edition shades, I decided to go for some permanent shades that aren’t in my collection. I love mauvy pinks and pinky browns, so Syrup went up on my radar immediately.
Price: $17.50 (I received mine for free w/ a 6 product trade-in)
Unfortunately, this one looked better in the packaging. Lustres aren’t one of my favorite finishes, but I got played by the color in the tube. On my complexion, it looks a little to baby pink and it accentuated all of the dryness in my lips. I soon realized that I needed to exfoliate my lips and invest in a lip treatment in order to rock Lustres in the future.
I will, of course, make this lipstick work but I would not repurchase this shade, and I would not recommend it. However, if lustres are your thing, rock it out and let me know what you think!
